London

Visiting my brother recently brought back fond memories of our time in London. Vincent and I were in London together for 2 and a half years and had some wonderful experiences.

Here is a trip down memory lane! Sorry about some of the quality but they are taken with my digital camera from prints!

Outside Rank Video where Vincent and I worked for over a year. We're not in the photo!

I worked as a Quality Contoller often working the night shift.

Brixton was our first place of abode.

We both really enjoyed London with it's history, entertainment and old traditional pubs. We met some colourful characters and I was fortunate to form some close friendships with people in my running club.

As a side-line as many of you are dying to know...OUR MOUSE IS DECEASED.

Full report with photo coming soon!

  1. Your photos brought back fond memories, too. I spent 2 weeks in London in 1969.

  2. The first time I visited London it was the late 80's when Danny used to work there. It is quite an exciting place to be. Oh and those red double decker buses bring back some memories too. Sounds like you really enjoyed your time there. :)

  4. Hi Paul! You had some great times when you were young. I told my 2 older daughters to go traveling as much as they could when they are still young. The oldest daughter went to Mexico, Singapore, Italy and Spain this past year. So I guess she is listening about that. :D

  5. Ah, my husband is from Croydon and also worked in London. You might have even been in the some of the same pubs! Look at his photos on my blog and picture him with very long hair, you might recognize him! HA!! He spent a lot of time in pubs, I gather.

  6. I love London so much - these pictures take me right back. How fun for you to spend years there!

The moustache is quite dashing, by the way. :)

  7. Do you have a flat bed scanner for documents etc.? I find it works very well for old photographs.

My first visit to London was in the early 1990s. Then, for a while my sister lived and worked near London, and during that time, I was a frequent guest. After I met the Yorkshire lad who was to become my husband, I didn't go to London anymore; our time in England was always too short to cover both London AND the places in Yorkshire where the family live. It is always at the back of my mind, though, as one of those places I definitely want to visit again.

  8. I love London and used to visit often, but wouldn't like to live there. It's too busy. However, I am proud that you like our capital city so much.

  9. Great photos. It's always nice to look back sometimes.

London seems so awesome. If I ever ventured out of America, it would be to London. :)

Looking forward to more of your adventure.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words.

    Blessings always
