Come Cycling

Come join me on my cycle race. It's not for the faint-hearted!

Yesterday I competed in a 68 mile race that began and finished at a brewery. You have to have nerves of steel to compete in cycling as I rode at speeds of 40 miles an hour sitting within inches of other cyclists' wheels. I averaged 24 miles an hour and completed the course in 2:48.

It was a really good ride on a lovely summer's day.

Here is the race courtesy of Lea's photos!

So how active was your weekend?

  1. was active...some...i did not compete in a bike race that is for sure...ha...i did take my son to Comicon and walked around for hours looking at comic characters...and i am writing a paper on learning styles for grad school right mentally you won?

    1. Sounds like you and your son had a good time. They are important times with your children in the growing years. Mentally active is good too!

  2. Hi Paul! Nice pics! I live a couple of blocks from Miller Valley where Miller beer is made. Have you ever heard of that?

    :-) Marion

    1. Hi Marion I have heard of Miller beer. in fact when i lived in America 1984 and 1985 i used to drink Miller Lite and have 2 Miller Reserve glasses.

  3. 68 miles? I'm very impressed Paul! I love Lea's photos too :-)

  4. 68 miles, good for you!
I hiked three and half miles on Saturday and then, another 5 miles on Sunday. I wasn't moving as fast as you, but at least I am moving!! :-)

  5. Hi Paul. You make me realise i am getting old. You are still not on my blog list despite the fact I have refollowed you. I don't understand it at all. Oh well I get here eventually.

  6. My weekend was absolutely lazy looking compared to this:)....Great job completing that challenging race.. Awesome action shots Lea. B
