So glad they caught it before it travelled to the lungs. Mr. M and I went to England 3 years ago to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. While there he was strangely fatigued and breathless, and after we got home he started having chest pains. Turned out he had PEs - several small ones - probably from a DVT in the leg caused by the long overseas flight. After a scary night in hospital, he was sent home with the injections. Then he was on warfarin therapy for some months. Unfortunately the pulmonary emboli seem to have damaged his lungs a bit and he still can't exercise much without getting breathless. So I'm very very glad yours was caught early! Yes, it may retard your progress a bit, but I am sure you will still bounce back in good time. Hang in there and remember you CAN eat leafy greens - in moderation. :)

P.S. Try not to cut yourself shaving.... ;)Mrs. Micawberhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08680436275934263596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3216392190947851272.post-86902574799883331422013-04-09T21:54:43.569+12:002013-04-09T21:54:43.569+12:00I'm pleased things are going well on the healt...I'm pleased things are going well on the health front, Paul. Perhaps you needed some slow-down time. I don't envy you the job of injecting yourself... do let us know what it feels like. What you say ...Good to hear things are looking up!

What you say about needing life to slow down a bit I have found to be true, too. In November 2009, my husband died completely unexpectedly at the age of 41. All through 2010, I kept very busy and active, until in the autumn of that year I needed some minor surgery which forced me to stay a week in hospital, three weeks at home and six weeks without running or any other strenuous activity. That was an important time for me, and lead to major changes in my life in the spring of 2011.Librarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05704656564078750607noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3216392190947851272.post-11290517933321557302013-04-09T12:21:12.510+12:002013-04-09T12:21:12.510+12:00Love does keep us young.
